In the special year 2024, when the Municipal Institute "Ancient Plovdiv" turns 55 years since its establishment, the Institute's team organized a rich and interesting program dedicated to June 1 - International Children's Day. This year's edition of the traditional "Children's Festival in the Old Town" will be held from May 27 to June 2 inclusive.

The program is extremely diverse - exhibitions, concerts, Panorama of children's creativity of the "Spiritual Mirror" Association, a large children's concert at the Roman Stadium, part of the XV International Festival "Days of Music at Balabanova House", a fairy-tale performance and a poetry recital, creative and musical Ateliers will delight young and old lovers of creativity, creativity and knowledge.

May 27 - June 2, 2024, Small Basilica of Filipopol - "Mosaic Palette" exhibition of students from the "Wall Painting" specialty at the Tsanko Lavrenov University of Applied Sciences with teachers Atanas Kameshev and Kristina Kutlova; Opening of the exhibition on May 27 at 4:00 p.m.;

June 1, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., House of Veren Stambolyan - creative children's workshop, suitable for children over 8 years old;

June 1, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Balabanova House - opening of the exhibition from 11:00 a.m. and children's art workshop from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.;

Works by students of the 8th grade from the "Tsanko Lavrenov" High School will be presented, created during the current school year with the guidance of teachers Zina Zhekova, Iliana Manukova and Keti Keorgieva. The exhibition can be seen until June 9;

June 1, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Late Antique building "Irini" in the "Archeological" underpass - poetry recital and fairytale performance "Sleeping Beauty" based on the works of the Brothers Grimm. Students from 1st to 9th grade from SU "St. Patriarch Evtimii" - Plovdiv, graduates of the School for Talents;

June 1, 2024 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Balabanova House - children's concert.

Concert of children from Eliza Agasyan's piano, Diana Racheva's guitar and Ilka Pencheva's recorder classes at the "Divizi" House of Musical Magic;

June 1, 2024 at 6:30 p.m., Rome Stadium - a big children's concert ALL THAT JAZZ FOR KIDS with Venci Blagoev Jazztet, with the special participation of Svetlina Hristova - vocalist, and her students. The concert is part of the spring edition of the XV International Festival "Days of Music in the Balaban House" within the Children's Festival in the Old Town;

June 1 and 2, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., House of Dr. Stoyan Chomakov (permanent exhibition of Zlatyu Boyadzhiev) at 18 Saborna St. in the Old Town of Plovdiv - Panorama of children's and youth creativity of the Association "Spiritual Mirror" with exhibitions, creative and musical workshops of talented children and youth from all over the country;

June 2, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Small Basilica of Philipopol - Art workshop "Mosaic".
