From today until June 22, Plovdiv becomes the "Capital of Song"! The 6th edition of "Plovdiv Capital of Song" begins. The event is initiated and hosted by the "Art Voice Center" association from Plovdiv, led by Rumi Ivanova, with educators Eva Palakova, Gergana Fileva, Anastasia Batkova, Alice Toleva, Pola Kutmanova, and Evelina Angelova, supported by the Plovdiv Big Band conducted by Nikolay Geshev.

Both ensembles have many years of experience in organizing and conducting cultural events, having performed hundreds of concerts, and are an integral part of the city's cultural life, so they hardly need an introduction.

The idea of the "Plovdiv Capital of Song" Festival is to invite some of the most successful vocal schools in Bulgaria and provide them with a professional stage to present their musical and theatrical programs, along with the festival orchestra, over the course of five days - from June 18 to 22, 2024.

This year's 6th edition of the festival will feature groups and soloists from Pleven, Sofia, Burgas, Panagyurishte, and others.

The concerts will be held as follows:
18.06.24 – Mayor's Office, Smirnenski district – 6:30 PM;
19.06.24 – Raicho Kirkov Park, Kyuchuk Paris district – 6:30 PM;
20.06.24 – Kapana district – Yadroto Stage with the Combo ensemble of the Plovdiv Big Band from 7:30 PM;
21.06.24 – Kapana district – Yadroto Stage with the Combo ensemble of the Plovdiv Big Band from 7:30 PM;
22.06.24 – Final concert on the Kamenitza steps with the Combo ensemble of the Plovdiv Big Band from 7:30 PM.
The "Plovdiv Capital of Song" Festival is funded by the Municipality of Plovdiv and is part of the city's Cultural Calendar for 2024.
