Young artist Daniela Panayotova will debut her painting project "FREQUENCY" at the "Kapana" Gallery of the Plovdiv City Art Gallery from June 14 to July 2, 2024.

The artist shares the concept of her project:
"FREQUENCY aims to trace and visualize the frequency of a multitude of events and actions that find their place in our daily lives, reflecting uniquely on the individual essence of a person. The main theme of my work in this debut exhibition is change in every aspect of the word. It can be desired by ourselves or imposed by external factors of the surrounding environment, where in this case, the personality is forced to adapt to the new by 'changing its skin'. The initial source of this idea originates from my diploma project titled 'Introspection of a Metamorphosis', which aims to trace the process and the final result of an already completed cycle, while the current exhibition 'FREQUENCY' depicts the frequency and vibrations of the constant phenomenon, which naturally follows its own direction and rhythm in space."

The exhibition marks her first major solo presentation, showcasing 30 canvases, drawings in various techniques, and experimentation in conceptual art. Most of the works were created over the past year, with a predominance of large formats.

Daniela Panayotova was born on December 9, 1998, in Plovdiv. In 2017, she graduated from the National School of Arts "Tsanko Lavrenov" in Plovdiv, specializing in Advertising Graphics. In 2021, she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Painting from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia under Prof. Andrey Daniel and Assoc. Prof. Konstantin Kostov. Since 2022, she has been an editor at the Plovdiv City Art Gallery. She has participated in exhibitions such as "Small Format" - Exhibition of students from Atelier 51, NAA, at Gallery "Art 36", Sofia (2019); Exhibition of Graduated Bachelors, Sofia City Art Gallery, Sofia (2021); "THE BODY / The Human Body" - Sofia Press Gallery-Bookstore, Sofia (2022); "International Youth Watercolor Festival II" - Temporary Exhibitions Halls, Plovdiv City Art Gallery (2022); "THE BODY / The Human Body" - Bulgarian Cultural Institute - BKI in Berlin, Berlin, Germany (2022); "THE BODY / The Human Body" - Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Prague, Prague, Czech Republic (2022).
