Chamber Stage Plovdiv presents the IRIS JENSTER Quartet at the First Studio of Radio Plovdiv on August 15 at 8:00 PM.

Meet Iris Jenster, a unique talent in the world of jazz. Born and raised in California, she moved to the Netherlands at the age of twelve, allowing her to blend influences from both worlds in a unique way. It's no surprise that music plays a significant role in Iris's life. With parents also from the musical field, she grew up with a deep-rooted passion for music. This passion is evident in the expressiveness of her lyrics and the smooth timing with which she interprets her music. Currently studying at the Utrecht Conservatory, Iris knows how to captivate her audience with her soft voice and musical interpretation like no one else. Besides studying and performing concerts, Iris also plays a leading role in the weekly sessions at café Miles in Amersfoort. With her energetic presence and ability to play with other musicians, she constantly creates a wonderful atmosphere that the audience won't forget soon. Iris Jenster is a captivating jazz singer you shouldn't miss. With her Californian roots and passion for music, she impresses and touches her audience in a way that leaves a lasting impact.

The longstanding friendship between saxophonist Dimitar Lyolev and guitarist Rob Elfrink, who studied together at the Conservatory of Groningen, brings the quartet together for a tour in Bulgaria, presenting entirely original music, pieces by Rob Elfrink.

The event is part of the cultural calendar of Plovdiv and is supported by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Plovdiv.
