Fun games, workshops, lectures and exhibitions await visitors to the traditional Butterfly Festival at the Regional Natural History Museum

The fifth edition of the festival will be held from September 6 to 8, 2024.

The fifth edition of the "Butterfly Festival" will be held within three days from September 6 to 8 in the building of the Regional Museum of Natural History - Plovdiv and in the park "Dondukova Garden". Holding one of its most significant holidays on these dates, the museum will also participate in the celebration of 139 years of the Unification of Bulgaria.

The program includes art workshops, educational games and workshops, a specialized lecture, a drawing competition, an exhibition and a station for painting children's faces. All events are dedicated to butterflies – one of the most valuable pollinators in nature and the most beloved insects!

On all three festival days from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., visitors will have the opportunity to view the competition entries, participate in a "Color Magic" butterfly coloring workshop and educational games about the anatomy and metamorphosis of butterflies.

All visitors who have purchased a ticket for at least one of the museum expositions can take part in the events during the festival. An exception is the studio for painting children's faces, which has an additional fee of BGN 5 per child.
