Festival "Thracian Mysteries" is held every year in emblematic places of our ancient history, culminating in the Ancient Theater - Plovdiv, on 29.09.2024. The eventful festival day (processions, exhibitions, creative workshops, lectures, interactive meetings with antiquity) will end with the spectacular performances "Mystery of the Thracian Heros" and "Thracian Mystery Drama".

A festival ticket gives you access to the festival space, which starts with the Thracian Ateliers from 18:00 in the Ancient Theatre. Before that, you can attend Lectures on "Ancient Thracian culture, language and civilization and the application of the cultural heritage of the Thracians in our time" in the Ancient Roman Stadium /4:00 p.m./, from where the Festival Procession will subsequently start /beginning 17 :30 p.m./ to the Ancient Theatre. And earlier in the Ancient Theater from 14:30 the Exhibition "Thracian Mysteries" will be presented.

Access to the festival space from 18:00 in the Ancient Theater is possible only with a valid ticket.

The program of the festival in the Old Town of Plovdiv includes:

- Interactive performances "Mystery of the Thracian Heros" and "Thracian Mystery Drama", united in one Grand Performance - 29.09.2024 / 9:00 p.m. in the Ancient Theater Plovdiv

- Exhibition "Thracian Mysteries" - for another year, the digital artist Dilyana Angelova will present her renewed collection of impressive canvases, provoking with their deep Orphic symbolism. 29.09.2024 / 2:30 p.m. in the Plovdiv Ancient Theater

- Lectures on "Ancient Thracian culture, language and civilization and the application of the cultural heritage of the Thracians in our time". Speakers will be representatives of the Institute of T-Science, the Rodov Zavet Foundation and the Orfika Academy Association. 29.09.2024 / 4:00 p.m. in Ancient Roman Stadium, Plovdiv

- Thracian workshops, 29.09.2024 / 18:00 at the Ancient Theater Plovdiv - the unique workshops and workshops on the Thracian way of life introduce the participants to the worldview of the ancient Thracians, immersing them in a unique antique atmosphere of the sacred space, imbued with mysticism and revealing the powers encoded in the preparation of ritual food, clothing, and ritual objects—all part of the sacred festive cycle:

▪ The mystery of Bulgarian ritual bread - Participants in this workshop will touch the mystery and deep "messages" encoded by our Thracian ancestors in the preparation of bread. A tradition that lives on today and has existed throughout the centuries in the rites of the blessed Bulgarian families.

▪ The mystery of the Thracian garment - Visitors to this workshop will learn about the sacred symbolism and purpose of the garment, as a message that the invisible forces that determine our lives "read". They will view (with the option to purchase) replica garments similar to those depicted on authentic artifacts. They will have the opportunity to "change" like the ancient initiates, in garments in which the sacred Word is woven.

▪ The Mystery of Votive Clay Tablets - Participants in this workshop will touch and learn more about Thracian votive tablets (found in ancient archaeological finds in our lands from this era) with sacred texts invoking blessing and protection. They will learn how to read the sacred messages and will be able to write a personal votive tablet with Orphic invocation formulas in the sacred Thracian script.

The festival is for anyone who wants to experience the Mysteries of the ancient Thracian world, its sacred roots, traditions and messages that are still relevant today.
