The exhibition "Sandro - Prince Alexander von Battenberg. One European Destiny" will be opened on September 6 at 19:45 at the Regional History Museum - Plovdiv together with the "Values" Foundation. The opening is part of the program for the celebration of the 139th anniversary of the Unification of Bulgaria and the Feast of the City of Plovdiv.

Texts with unknown details from the life of the first Bulgarian ruler after the Liberation - Prince Alexander von Battenberg, as well as his previously unseen photos, are collected in 28 panels.

The exhibition is the result of a three-year search through archives and family collections of the Heiligenberg-Jugenheim Foundation, which manages the family castle of the Bulgarian monarch, where he spent his childhood. It is titled "Sandro - Prince Alexander von Battenberg. One European destiny", after the childhood nickname that his relatives used to call him. It is kindly provided by the Heiligenberg-Jugenheim Foundation, carried out in Bulgaria by the Values ​​Foundation, chaired by Antonina Stoyanova, wife of President Petar Stoyanov (1997-2002).

Authors of the exhibition are Dr. Sigrun Komati, Johnny Glover, Olaf Kühn, Prof. Carl Friedrich Listner, Vanessa Novak together with Thomas Bröning.

The exhibition is open until November 30.
