Director Nikolay Vasilev celebrates "Vaklush" in Plovdiv
One of the most watched documentaries of the decade "Vaclush" will have a special screening on September 15 at 6:00 p.m. For a zero ticket from Lucky cinema box office, everyone can see the extraordinary story of Vaklush Tolev, in 100 minutes. The day of the 131st broadcast is chosen purposely as it is the birthday of the director Nikolay Vasilev, who a year ago held the preliminary premiere at the same place in Plovdiv.
Immediately afterwards, at the Sofia Film Fest, "Vaklush" became the most popular film in the documentary program of the festival. After a tour throughout Bulgaria and Europe, at the end of April, the director and the spiritual teacher's messages visited America and Canada, where they were warmly welcomed by the audiences of 16 cities.
According to Nikolay Vasilev, the film has a life of its own, and perhaps that is why it easily crosses world borders. He has already been selected for participation in 28 festivals around the world. It has been honored with 12 awards from America, France, India, Switzerland, Venezuela and the Philippines. The last one is from Swedish International Movie Festival and the penultimate award is the "Golden Firefly" in the category "Best Social Justice Film" from Cannes World Movie Festival.
On September 19, the most unusual meeting of "Vaklush" is coming up - with the audience of the Staao Zagora prison. On September 22, at 8:00 p.m., there will be a screening in Sofia at the "Cabana" cinema, as part of the "I am Sofia" festival. Then, on October 5 at 6:00 p.m., there will be a long-awaited meeting in London at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute, and for the National Awakeners Day, November 1, at 6:00 p.m., a solemn screening is scheduled at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Tokyo.
