PPD "Angel Bucharestliev" dedicates an event to the beauty of music and to an unsuspected historical secret

On the eve of Independence Day, September 22, at 11 a.m., the area around the Clock Tower on Sahat Hill will be open to students, young people and older music lovers, who will have the opportunity to attend an extraordinary event organized by the Plovdiv Singing Society "Angel Bukorestliev". In addition to enjoying the performances of the choristers, as well as participating in the master classes led by some of the famous musicians of the city under the hills - Plovdiv, guests will have the opportunity to learn one more than a curious historical secret - about the connection between the area around the Clock Tower and the history of the Singing Society.

The main mission of the event is to give children the opportunity to touch the art of music and love it.

During the opening, the mayor of the city of Plovdiv, Mr. Kostadin Dimitrov, will will welcome the guests. The official program will start with a performance by the Plovdiv Singing Society "Angel Bukorestliev" of several patriotic songs dedicated to Independence Day.

The event will continue with the special master classes, which will be held in several specially designated locations in the space around the Clock Tower and will be led by prominent musicians: maestro Micho Dimitrov and Stiliyan Dermendzhiev (violin), Liliya Kovacheva-Toporcheva (trumpet), Iliyan Tiganev (piano), Margarita Genova (drums), Zdravka Andreeva - accordion.

Children who join them will have the opportunity to learn trivia about the various instruments as well as some basic performance techniques. At each location, there will be special thematic surprises prepared for the young visitors.

In addition to the noble idea related to music, the event is based on an unsuspected historical secret. And it reveals a curious connection between the history of the Clock Tower and that of the Singing Society.

To date, the Clock Tower on Sahat Tepe is one of the landmarks of Plovdiv, rising impressively on the hill and regaining its splendor. Just like a guard who guards the House of the Plovdiv Singing Society "Angel Bukorestliev", which is located at its foot and has long been not just a building, but a temple, where the natural ringing voice of the gods can be heard.

The event is part of the cultural calendar of the city of Plovdiv.
