Photo exhibition Wild at heart - Plovdiv is visiting the Regional Natural History Museum - Plovdiv

On October 4 ( Friday ) 2024 at 6:30 p.m. in RPNM - Plovdiv, a photography exhibition " Wild at heart - Plovdiv" will be opened by Ch. Assistant Professor Atanas Grozdanov, that will be a guest at the museum until November 4, 2024. On the occasion of the opening, the author will present a presentation that will introduce guests to his exciting work in the field, as well as interesting facts about the shooting of the images in different corners of the wild nature of Bulgaria and the Balkans!

The exhibition includes a selection of photos of some of the most beautiful and rare species in the region, taken during the author's scientific expeditions - ch. Assistant Professor Atanas Grozdanov, distinguished scientist, teacher and photographer. The event aims to acquaint the public with the diversity and uniqueness of nature in the region, and once again to raise the question of the importance of its preservation.

About the author : Atanas Grozdanov is a senior assistant at the Faculty of Biology of the University of St. Kliment Ohridski", also teaching at the University of Architecture, Construction and Geodesy. He is the author of over 100 scientific and popular publications related to animals and their conservation. In addition to being a scientist, teacher and photographer, Atanas Grozdanov is first and foremost a person dedicated to the protection of nature and many related causes. He is the founder of the Skorets student club at the Faculty of Biology, co-founder of the Society of Animalists , Florists and Scientific Illustrators, creator of the group "Amphibians and Reptiles in Bulgaria" and the page "Wild Sofia" in social networks and an active member of the Fund team for wild flora and fauna.

Among the photographic ones contributions of the author stand out :

1. Wild at heart I and II – standalone exhibitions in 2018 and 2019, Sofia.

2. Wild Sofia - exhibition in the Regional History Museum - Sofia and within the framework of a festival Culturama , 2023.

3. The birds - a joint photographic exhibition with e.g. Matchey Szymanski within the Kulturama festival , 2023.
