Sports holiday "School Games of the Willpower"

Description
For the first year, the Municipality of Plovdiv launched the "School Games of the Willpower" initiative. Its aim is to promote sports among students. The event, in which all schools can participate except the Sport School "Vasil Levski", will be held at the Plovdiv Stadium on October 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.

The schools ranked in the first 3 places will receive a cash prize - 2,000, 1,500 and 1,000 BGN respectively. Children from two age groups will take part in the competition - from 7th to 9th grade and from 10th to 12th grade. Each of the schools must be represented by a team of 16 students – 8 from each age group (4 boys and 4 girls). The competition will be in the form of relay games with 8 functional and athletic exercises for speed and strength.

These will include rowing, tire kicks, cube jumps, push-ups, sit-ups, medicine ball carries, sprints and more. The participants must be at the Plovdiv stadium one hour before the start of the tournament in order to be explained the rules for performing the exercises.
