Maria Dipchikova with her first solo exhibition in the Regional Natural History Museum - Plovdiv

On November 4 (Monday) 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in RPNM - Plovdiv, the debut solo exhibition of the artist Maria Atanasova Dipchikova with the title "Dreams and reality - Magic and elements" will be opened in the exhibition space of the museum (Lotus hall). The exhibition is composed of picturesque paintings painted with watercolor and acrylic paints. The author's works will be on display until December 4, 2024.

Captivated by the myths and legends of the ancient tribes that lived on our lands, Maria Dipchikova emotionally recreates the power and beauty of today's surrounding world. Observing the paintings of the author, the viewer has the feeling that the goddess of beauty, harmony and family belonging will extend her divine hand from the river. The sun, which is present in most of the paintings, is a symbol of masculinity, light and hope for a better future. The moon and moon phases symbolize cyclicity and the feminine. The artist, overcome by admiration for the land on which she was born - the land of her ancestors, admires with great feeling the unique nature and all the benefits that it gives us. The creator's message is to love, respect and preserve the nature around us, of which each one of us is an integral part.

Maria Dipchikova graduated from the Secondary Specialized School of Fine Arts "Elisaveta Bagryana" in Sofia in 2000. In the same year, she continued her education at the Free Academy of Fine Arts "Jules Paskin" - majoring in painting. She participated in a number of collective exhibitions and received prizes in competitions, including those with a social focus ("Creators against smoking and drugs", 1999; "With information against AIDs", 2000, etc.) In 2001, she took part with six works in an international exhibition in Poland at the World Congress of the Cultural Community INTERLINGVA. Since 2009, he began his development as a fine arts teacher, currently teaching at "Vasil Levski" elementary school in the village of Rogosh. In 2017, he participated with three paintings in the "Collage Biennale" of the Society of Plovdiv Artists.
