Plovdiv Singing Society "Angel Bukoreshtliev " celebrates the National Awakeners Day with an Open Day

On November 1, 2024 in the renovated building of the Plovdiv Singing Society (PPD) "Angel Bukoreshtliev", a special event will be held on the occasion of the National Awakeners Day. The starting time of the celebration is 18:30, and for all visitors, the entrance will be free in the spirit of the tradition of celebrating this day.

The festive program of the Society will offer visitors the opportunity to touch the cultural heritage and history of one of the oldest and most important musical organizations in the country. The evening will include an exhibition, display of archival material and performances of choral works. This evening is dedicated to the National Awakeners - the people who dedicated their lives to culture, education and art, leaving an indelible mark in the hearts and minds of Bulgarians. By organizing an Open Day, the Plovdiv Singing Society "Angel Bukoreshtliev" strives to honor the work of these enlighteners, while simultaneously introducing the public to their heritage and renewing the inspiration of all modern revivalists.

Created at the end of the 19th century, the Plovdiv Singing Society "Angel Bukoreshtliev" bears the name of the pianist, composer and conductor Angel Bukoresthliev - a key figure in the development of the Singing Society. With its activity, the society for decades has united people of different ages and professions, united by the love of music. With hundreds of concerts, participation in international festivals and awards, PPD "Angel Bukoreshtliev " is a symbol of tradition and professionalism in choral art.
