The Crossroads Stage Autumn Theater Festival was established in 1997 in the city of Plovdiv. The initiators for the establishment of the festival are the Municipality of Plovdiv, the Ministry of Culture and the Drama Theatre - Plovdiv. The main initiator and founder of Crossroads Stage Autumn Theater Festival is the prominent Bulgarian actor Stefan Danailov.
Crossroads Stage Autumn Theater Festival is conceived as an annual event and takes place in September. In its previous history, the festival has presented hundreds of theatrical performances to Plovdiv audiences on the Big Stage of the Plovdiv Drama Theatre.
