„Romeo and Juliet“ (played at Drama theater Gabrovo) got to two nominations for Ikar award and four nominations for Asceer award. The performance was defined as NUMBER ONE for scenography. This sensational play can surprise the audience with new creative view of the story. The director Petrinel Gochev asked for new translation of the Shakespeare's drama which now sounds much more modern, down to earth and very different from what we are used to watch. The music is original also, composed by Dimitar Penchev, who lives in Canada and is teacher in USA at the moment. The scenography (by Yuliyana Voykova-Nayman) is inspired by the fact that the director is also sculptor and painter.
