The Landscape, Exhibition

The landscape is a traditional genre in visual art. All artists, at some point in their creative development, use it. Landscapes are among the preferred genres for collectors. It is a fertile territory for experimentation both with color and texture of the paint, as well as with the graphic values of line, stroke, and spot; it is the subject of photographic exploration and images created with digital tools… the variations for creation are countless.

In the exhibition at the Plovdiv Gallery, located at 20 Avksentiy Veleshki Street (Municipal Council), over 60 works by 45 artists are displayed, gathered together based on the genre principle. The main goal of the exhibition is to present a variety of original works, styles, interpretations of the theme, and more. From more natural explorations of color and graphic values to the abstract, personally unique forms, each artist is recognizable and expresses themselves as they do in their other works. It can be said that the exhibition contains a good sample of the art being made here right now.
