Alive in Weave, Exhibition of Kotel Carpets

Weaving colors, symbols, and personal stories, this exhibition tells the story of women who do more than craft textiles—they preserve memory, create culture, and pass on knowledge. The display features carpets from museum collections and private holdings, revealing the richness and diversity of a tradition handed down through generations.
The exhibition is part of a project realized with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and is accompanied by a vibrant public program: creative workshops, educational modules, book presentations, and concerts. Special attention is given to children and students through engaging activities such as coloring carpet-inspired designs, solving pattern puzzles, storytelling sessions, and painting with natural dyes.
"Alive in Weave" shows that a carpet is not just an object - it is cultural memory, woven into thread and color. This is an exhibition to be experienced - with the eyes, with the hands, and with the heart.
The opening of the exhibition is on May 15 at 6 p.m.
