The exhibition is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the founding of the National High School for Performing and Screen Arts in Plovdiv and will open on May 15 at 6 p.m.
A total of 65 artists graduates of various classes from the school's "Stage Profiles" program—are participating with their works, including the current director, Nikolay Tomov. The exhibition features a wide range of media: painting, graphics, sculpture, contemporary art, video, film costumes, theatrical puppets, photography, jewelry, and many more forms. The remarkable diversity of the works on display highlights the achievements of these once-promising students who have since become internationally recognized and successful artists, set designers, animators, directors, costume designers, and more.
Some of them are now passing on their experience as teachers in specialties such as stage costume, set design for theater, film and television, stage lighting, puppet theater, dramatic theater, computer animation, pantomime, theatrical makeup, and wigs. Others have pursued their own unique creative paths both in Bulgaria and abroad.
