They say the world is not a waiting room. So what are we doing here, and why are we here at all?
This is the question John - the son of Zebedee asks as he searches for a way out of this station-like world, where everyone departs when their train arrives, and the secret of the universe lies hidden somewhere beyond the yellow line. Years later, exiled on the island of Patmos, he recalls his life, his rebellion, and his journey through despair toward hope and faith. A journey that transforms him from the fiery “Son of Thunder” into the Apostle of Love, as he is still known today. The Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv was built only about ten years after the death of “John – the Son of Thunder,” the last surviving apostle of Christ. And it is on this historic stage that you will witness some of the defining moments in the life of John – the Apostle of Love.
