Following the great success of the second edition of “Contemporary Graphics,” The Society of Plovdiv Artists is organizing for the first time an exhibition dedicated to another fundamental form of art – painting. Under the term “contemporary,” we consider what is currently being created in this field. We believe that nowadays there is no established prevailing trend, artists follow their own subjective paths of development, choosing their means of expression and working methods freely. For this reason, the first edition has no set theme or conceptual anchor each artist decides what work to present.
Painting is a branch of visual art where color takes center stage. It is immediate and accessible, practiced in a wide variety of media and forms. It is often the medium many people instinctively reach for when creating. Yet, it also carries a distinctive and specific goal...
The exhibition opens on July 1st at 6 p.m.
