Urban Wine Fest 2025

For the fourth consecutive year, Plovdiv will host the Urban Wine Festival, dedicated to International Mavrud Day.

The festival will take place on the following dates and times:
Friday, October 3, 2025: 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 4, 2025: 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 5, 2025: 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The festival will showcase over 40 wines made from 15 local grape varieties, including the iconic Mavrud, emblematic of the Plovdiv region. A selection of notable Balkan varieties will also be featured. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample a curated selection of wines, enjoy a glass in a relaxed setting or share a bottle with friends, meet wine professionals, and discover the richness of Bulgarian grape varieties.
The music program will feature performances by the Plovdiv Brass Band, Quartet "Garbachev", and DJ Manev.
For the first time, the Plovdiv Wine Routes Association will participate with a regional stand, where guests can taste local wines and learn more about the area's winemaking traditions.
On October 5, the association invites you to a special wine tasting tour under the motto "A Glass of Wine Away from Plovdiv", featuring selected wineries from Plovdiv and the region.

The festival is part of the city’s event calendar and is implemented with the financial support of the Annual Tourism Development Program of the Municipality of Plovdiv for 2025.
