Lyuben Zidarov – 100 Years, Exhibition

After its presentation in 2024 at the UBA Gallery in Sofia, the exhibition is now hosted in Exhibition Hall "2019" at the invitation of the City Art Gallery – Plovdiv. It is organized in honor of the remarkable artist Lyuben Zidarov, whose illustrations for over 200 books are well known to several generations of readers and art lovers. At the same time, the exhibition richly showcases other aspects of Lyuben Zidarov’s broad creative range, including oil painting, watercolor, printmaking, drawing, and textile art. All these works bear the mark of his inimitable personal style, combining artistry, humor, irony and self-irony, refined taste, virtuosity, and life wisdom. Nearly half of the exhibited works come from private collections that have rarely or never been displayed publicly.
