International GuitArt Festival  2025

Plovdiv will once again host the GuitArt Festival, which this year dedicates its program to the rich cultural heritage of the Balkans. The ninth edition will showcase musical projects from across the region, blending tradition with contemporary sounds and turning the city under the hills into a stage for cultural dialogue and musical inspiration.
Among the special guests are the charismatic Istanbul-based band Light in Babylon, the Bulgarian ensemble Quintet Colors, Macedonian virtuoso Damjan Pejčinoski with his quintet, Blazin’ Quartet (Bosnia/The Netherlands, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria), the Greek rebetiko group Trio Taratsa, and others.
The festival will also introduce audiences to some of the brightest young talents — laureates of the International GuitArt Plovdiv Competition, including Pavle Filipović (Serbia) and Kassie Martin (France).

October 24 at 7 p.m., BeeBop Café Club – Concert by Light in Babylon
October 25 at 7 p.m., Studio 1 of Radio Plovdiv – Concert by Damjan Pejcinoski Quintet
October 26 at 7 p.m., State Puppet Theatre – Recital by Mateusz Kowalski, Poland
A key part of the program is the International Classical Guitar Competition “GuitArt Plovdiv”, which brings together young guitarists from around the world and serves as a platform for discovering new talent.
