On the occasion of his 70th anniversary, Assoc. Prof. Svilen Kostadinov presents his exhibition “Seventy Orbits Around the Sun” – sculptures in marble and granite, a culmination of his rich artistic journey and lifelong exploration in the field of sculpture.
Assoc. Prof. Svilen Kostadinov is a sculptor with nearly fifty years of creative experience and a longtime lecturer in sculpture at the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts "Prof. Asen Diamandiev" – Plovdiv. He graduated in Sculpture from the University of Veliko Tarnovo in 1978, in the class of Prof. Panayot Dimitrov. Working primarily with stone – marble and granite – he seeks harmony between the figurative and the abstract. His works convey softness, spirituality, and inner dynamism within the hardness of the material. He is the author of numerous solo exhibitions and monumental works in Bulgaria and abroad.
