Dimitar Gorchakov is well known to Bulgarian audiences as an active musician with a variety of stylistically diverse projects, ranging from classical music and jazz to theatrical performances, as well as electronic and experimental projects that also live on club stages. At the concert, he will be joined by two exceptional musicians whose presence adds a special and authentic depth to the project’s sound – Mihail Ivanov on double bass and Vasil Vutev on drums. Both are well known on the Bulgarian and international jazz scenes, with extensive experience, diverse projects, numerous performances at prestigious festivals, and impressive creative biographies. Their virtuosity and intuitive musical communication turn the performance into a living, improvisational narrative, where every element sounds organic and unpredictable.
The trio blends Bulgarian folklore with the free expression of jazz and the experimental spirit of electronic genres, creating an original sound that transcends stylistic boundaries and offers a truly multilayered experience.
The audience will hear an entirely original program, including new arrangements of pieces from Gorchakov’s debut solo album, as well as music created specifically for this formation. The repertoire is rich in textures, rhythmic layers, and emotional contrasts, which unfold naturally within the intimate dynamics of the trio.
