Ancient Theatre
A performance that has captivated millions of spectators around the world is coming to Plovdiv for two unforgettable evenings at the Ancient Theatre. The multi-award-winning work of innovative French choreographer Sadeck Berrabah is a unique artistic phenomenon that has impressed audiences and critics alike with its spectacular aesthetics, mathematical precision, and profound emotional power.
Inspired by the natural harmony and geometric movement of bird flocks (murmuration), Berrabah’s creation translates this phenomenon into choreography of absolute synchronicity and visual magic. With 30 dancers on stage, moving through the technique of “variable geometry” and the iconic tutting style (a form of dance based on geometric movements of the limbs), the performance becomes a living work of art – a representation of the supra-sensory harmony that can emerge through collective action.
For the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv, Sadeck’s creative team is preparing special video material designed for projection using projection mapping – a contemporary visual intervention that “communicates” with the historic stage.
