Seven years after Plovdiv was named European Capital of Culture, the city is once again celebrating its cultural energy, its people, and shared experiences.
During the three days of the festival, the city center will transform into a living stage for music, art, and collective experiences. Plovdiv will pulse to the rhythm of four open-air music stages, concerts and DJ sets, video and art installations, special events for children, and cultural activities in public spaces. Streets, squares, underpasses, and cultural venues will come alive to remind us that culture is not only on stage – it is everywhere around us. Because Plovdiv, that is you.
The festival will officially open at the Archaeological Underpass on Friday, January 16 at 6:00 PM with a video installation dedicated to the seventh anniversary of Plovdiv as European Capital of Culture – a visual story of the journey, the emotions, and the meaning of this experience.
Plovdiv City Festival is an invitation to all residents and visitors of the city to be part of this moment: to meet, share, and celebrate the city as it is – alive, open, full of history, and endlessly inspiring.
