Ancient Theatre
One year after the hugely successful, completely sold-out two consecutive concerts of Septicflesh in their hometown of Athens, held at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus—also known as the Herodion, an ancient Roman-era odeon located at the foot of the Acropolis with a capacity of approximately 5,000 spectators—the band is bringing this grand spectacle to the equally magical atmosphere of the Ancient Theatre of Plovdiv. Bulgaria will be the third country in the world to have the privilege of hosting this spectacular performance, which the band will present together with the orchestra and choir of the Plovdiv Opera.
A key detail that adds even greater significance to the event is the musical score. The orchestral arrangements are the work of the band’s guitarist, “Maestro” Christos Antoniou, a classically trained composer who graduated with honors from the London College of Music.
The visual concept for the show’s poster—personally titled “Ancient Whispers” by the band—was created by Septicflesh frontman, vocalist and bassist Spiros Antoniou, known by his artistic pseudonym Seth Siro Anton. Through this artwork, he showcases another facet of his creative identity—that of the visual artist Seth. He is responsible for the band’s visual aesthetics and has created artwork for releases by artists such as Nile, Paradise Lost, Exodus, and many others.
This prestigious event is part of the Music Of The Ages music forum and the Cultural Calendar of the Municipality of Plovdiv for 2026.
