Robert Plant with Saving Grace and “All That Glitters…” – the most intimate and inspired form of music the legendary musician has created in recent decades.
Saving Grace is the name of the group of musicians who have been performing with Plant since 2019, but they are far from a backing band – they are his true artistic partners. Vocalist Suzi Dian takes her place as an equal duet counterpart, and together they move through a carefully curated collection of covers – from one of the earliest influences on Led Zeppelin (“Chevrolet” in its frenzied tempo), to favorites from psychedelic San Francisco’s Moby Grape (the dreamy “It's a Beautiful Day Today”), and his more recent fascination with slowcore legends Low (an energetic, oriental-tinged version of “Everybody's Song”).
Intimate, emotional, and transcendental, the project offers a powerful palette of blues, alt-country, and folk storytelling that revives the spirit of roots music—reimagined and relived through the clarity of a contemporary perspective.
