For the first time in Bulgaria, the China National Opera arrives with its monumental production of Giacomo Puccini’s classical opera Turandot. Over 200 artists will take the stage, supported by six trucks filled with extraordinary sets and costumes – a true triumph of stage art and the mastery of the China National Opera.
Turandot tells the timeless story of the princess with an unyielding heart and the brave prince who dares to solve her three riddles. It is a drama of courage, wisdom, and the power of love – a work that continues to inspire generations of audiences worldwide and leaves a lasting impression on every spectator.
On stage, you will see renowned artists and creators: conductor Yang Yang, sopranos Liu Yanhua and Yao Hong, tenor Li Shuang, concertmaster Du Xuan, and director Wang Huquan – leading figures of the China National Opera, whose performances guarantee musical, dramatic, and visual depth worthy of a true operatic celebration.
