“Hadjimanov & Zahariev Quartet” is a natural continuation of a collaboration that began 20 years ago in 2006, when Rosen Zahariev was invited to several recording sessions for the third album of the Vasil Hadjimanov Band. However, the first encounter between the artists dates back to the late 1990s on the East Coast of the United States, in Boston, Massachusetts, where they shared time as students at the prestigious Berklee College of Music.
The quartet enjoys wide international recognition, built on decades of presence at global jazz forums and numerous prestigious awards. The ensemble is composed of accomplished artists, experienced explorers of the space of sound and silence: Rosen Zahariev – trumpet, percussion; Vasil Hadjimanov – piano, keyboards; Miroslav Tovirach – bass; Borislav Petrov – drums.
Their music is a blend of original compositions and improvisations, naturally reflecting the emotional imprint of each moment, place, and audience. The virtuosity of the performers turns every concert into a boutique event, guaranteeing the highest level of musical experience.
