National Dress: a Source of Pride and Heritage, Exhibition

The exhibition includes selected photographs that reveal the diversity of national costumes as carriers of history, identity and spirituality. The photographs showcase the cultural uniqueness and plurality of 17 countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Hungary, Cuba, Malaysia, Moldova, Nigeria, Philippines, Qatar, Romania, Rwanda, Serbia, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Ukraine, Mexico, Ghana). They capture the essence of traditional clothing as a key element of cultural heritage and world diversity. The exhibition aims to contribute to the preservation and popularisation of the centuries-old the heritage, traditions and culture of the participating countries. In a time of increasing global division, this collection encourages a better understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity, notably by emphasizing what is typical and unique for each nation.
The official opening of the exhibition will take place on April 21 at 6 p.m. in the Grand Hall of the Regional Ethnographic Museum – Plovdiv.
