ONE DESIGN WEEK - BYGONE BONBONS ON CHILDHOOD MEMORIES
Julia Landsiedl started her design career with a Master’s in Law – as a copywriter in advertising and branding. She went on to study Product- and Processdesign in Vienna and Berlin and left Europe to work for design consultancy IDEO in Silicon Valley.
She returned to Vienna to open her own studio in 2008. Since then the studio has been working on a variety of cross-disciplinary design & innovation projects, both with clients and independently. Its main focus is three dimensional storytelling – developing and staging the stories, services and spaces that surround an object or a brand. Julia Landsiedl's independent, more artistic explorations take a playful and humorous approach on what’s going on around her.
At ONE DESIGN WEEK she will present the installation Bygone Bonbons. A miniature world, made of favorite candies, invites the audience to revisit their misty childhood memories. What was it really like back then? What is the true flavor of the past?
