Hills of Rock Festival will take place annually as a part of the initiative Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture. 

Evanescence and Guano Apes are the names of the first bands that will attend this year's edition of the festival on June 30 and July 1, 2017. 

Three stages will be erected: Main Stage, World stage and Alternative stage. Over 30 musicians and bands are going to take part, among whom world-famous bands will be distinguised along with famous Bulgarian and Balkan performers. Apart from Evanescence and Guano Apes, there are going to take part the British rock band RavenEye, the Swedish metal band Imminence and the Bulgarian SEVI, Siluet, Krossfire and Dream Skiller. 

The festival will take place in the park next to the Rowing Canal, the Main stage erected on the territory of Plovdiv stadium.
