On 17.10.2017 at 18:00 in the Vazrazdane Gallery will be opened an exhibition of painting titled "Duet - Duel" by Mara - Mariela Dimitrova and Georgi Yordanov. The exhibition will be on display until until 06.11.2017. 

  The “Duet – Duel“ exhibition presents two seemingly incompatible authors. The dark half of the duet is undoubtedly Georgi Yordanov, well-known to the audience of Plovdiv. His psychological, enigmatic and multiplane painting once again fits us in the magic of his rule that what we see is not that. 
   Mara, a phenomenon unfamiliar to Plovdiv, strikes our senses with the original treatment of things too familiar. The author is a versatile, disobedient to canons, in the sense – she distorts them. We will now show a miniature ingredient of her great talent - as an acquaintance. 
  The exhibition “Duet – Duel“ is diverse but also united by the belief that human fantasy is infinite.

           Biography :
    Mara (Mariela Dimitrova) was born in 1967 in Sofia.
In 1981, she went to Havana, Cuba, where from 1982 until 1987 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts "San Alejandro ". She graduated with a major in Graphics.
She returned to Bulgaria in 1987. Since 1988 she has studied Bulgarian Philology at Sofia University " Kliment Ohridski ". She graduated in 1995.
During the period 1985-1987, Mara participated in several joint shows, exhibitions, performances in the city of Havana.
She has performed 17 solo exhibitions and has many participations in general exhibitions. 

              Biography:
   Georgi Yordanov was born on May 13, 1960 in Shumen. He is a member of the UBA since 1995. He worked as a painter at the Varna Drama Theater, at the Varna Opera House. He was a teacher of painting in Russian school and other schools in Varna. He has made 30 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and England and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Bulgaria, England, France and Russia.
