Gallery Vazrazdane invites you to a graphic and painting exhibition by one of the most famous and awarded Bulgarian graphic artist in the world Julian Jordanov. The opening reception will be on 12.02.2019 at 6 pm. The exhibition will be accessible to everyone until 04.03.2019.

   In his work, Julian very often reaches to characters from Greek mythology. He seeks both the heroes - conquerors and the heroes - sufferers. His characteristic harsh flair for the dramatic in almost every piece of work makes a strong impression and raises the audience’s interest. Sometimes the perfection (one of the Julian’s strongest drawing qualities) can destroy the fragile balance of delicacy. Here, however, the author skillfully balances the two concepts and creates a poetic amalgam of emotions, beauty and tragedy. Julian’s sublimations find their authentic identity in his pieces of artwork.

Julian Jordanov was born in 1965 in town of Lovech, Bulgaria. In 1995 he graduated  the National Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia, Bulgaria, tutor Prof. Peter Chouklev. In 1984 he graduated the High School of Fine Arts, Sofia, Bulgaria. He has performed over 40 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and around the world. He has many participations in general ones, biennials, triennials and others.
