Using the Cyrillic alphabet, the project lays a cultural bridge between the two Capitals of Culture in 2019, Plovdiv and Matera. Behind it all is the story of the first Bulgarian printer, Jakov Krajkov. Participants are the photographer Galina Yotova; the curator Svetla Petkova; and the sculptor Sava Stoimenov, who designed the letters and the printing plates. The exhibition includes photography, videos and a photo book with essays by researchers of the Bulgarian language, among them Prof Axinia Dzhurova, Prof Mariana Tsibranska-Kostova and Silvia Tomova.
The project is a Galina Yotova production.
