THIS IS AN EXHIBITION OF KIRI-E ARTWORKS (TRADITIONAL JAPANESE ART FOR CREATING PAINTINGS FROM CUT PAPER TEMPLATES) FROM THE WORK OF THE MEMBERS OF THE BULGARIAN KIRI-E ASSOCIATION.
The artworks are related to the theme of traditional Japanese clothing and the exquisiteness of the Japanese women. The paintings, with their predominantly black and white vision, contrast and complement perfectly with authentic and very valuable kimonos and obi belts from the personal collection of the master and teacher of kiri-e Rina Papadopoulou.
Special guest is the artist Mayano Onodera, who will arrive for the event from Japan with her beautiful colorful kiri-e works made with papers by her. In addition to showing her works, she will also show her techniques at workshops during the exhibition.
The exhibition is held as part of the events for the 30th anniversary of the Days of Japanese Culture in Bulgaria.
