Two very different masterpieces of musical romanticism - Grigg's early concert and Tchaikovsky's symphony outline the 19th-century music. It is a constant battle between passions and structures in a symphony, conceived as a tragic confession in the face of the end - and a concert in which the melancholy and exaltation are masterfully overflowing.
