IL VOLO in Plovdiv in 2021

The world famous group is coming to Bulgaria for the third time, but this time they will be visiting Plovdiv. Their concert will be on 06 July 2021 at the Ancient Theater.

The three Italians are coming up with a new "10 Years" program, bringing together the best of their 10-year triumph on the world stage. The concert in Plovdiv is part of their world tour, which pays tribute to three unique performers whose talent goes beyond national borders and who have sold millions of copies of albums and conquered the tops of world charts.

The 10 Years Tour kicked off in September 2019 with a grand concert at Arena di Verona, continued in Latin America - from Mexico to Brazil, where thousands of fans are enjoying Il Volo.

Since 2009, the three young musicians have performed more than 300 concerts in 210 cities on three continents. They have sung in the most prestigious halls such as the Royal Albert Hall, Radio City Music Hall in New York, Arena di Verona in their native Italy. Over 2 million viewers attended their concerts. They have released five studio albums with platinum status and have two Grammy nominations.

They are applauded all over the world for their youthful charm on stage, their unique voices and their singing skills equal to the greatest classical performers. It is no coincidence that they are called "the boys with angelic voices" and they are designated heirs of the three tenors. And Placido Domingo himself is their mentor, inspirer… ..and fan.

Although their young age, for 10 years now Il Volo has spread the beauty of classical music, traditional opera and Italian belcanto around the world. They themselves say that they want to show the continuity of classical music and to attract young people to it.

Because of their marvelous talent, Gianluca Ginoble, Piero Barone and Ignazio Boschetto, as children shared the stage with greats artists like Placido Domingo, Barbra Streisand, Bono, Carlos Santana.

And their latest album Musica is yet another proof of their borderless success. Their album is in the Top 10 best-selling albums on iTunes in 14 countries (from Malta, Brazil, Israel, etc.) and second in Japan's best-selling albums after Bohemian Rhapsody.

Due to the pandemic from COVID-19 Il Volo postponed their world tour "10 years" for the summer of 2021. Along with the concerts in other European cities, their concert in Plovdiv, scheduled for July 13, 2020, has to be postponed.
"We are very sorry that we cannot sing in such a magical place as your Ancient Theater. For us, the performers, it is a great pleasure and honor to step on a stage like this. This is the real place for music! ", said the three musicians.
At the same time, the situation in Bulgaria remains uncertain. Restrictions and imposed security measures during major events are constantly changing, as well as the conditions for entry of foreign nationals into the country. It is also important for us to protect the health of our audience, of the musicians, of the technicians, of all those who work on the realization of concerts.
All these conditions make it impossible at the moment to hold the concert of Il Volo in the Ancient Theater in Plovdiv - a production of such a large scale and with so many participants.
In the last month, however, our teams, from Bulgaria and Italy, have worked hard and provided a new date for the meeting of your favorite Italian music and the charming Gianluca, Ignacio and Piero.
The new date for the concert of Il Volo in Plovdiv is July 6, 2021, at the Ancient Theater.
Purchased tickets will be valid for the new date without revalidation. For those of you who do not have the opportunity to visit the new date, their tickets will be re-validated for another BG Sound Stage event of the same value and can be used until the end of 2021. Re-verifications can be done at the Eventim offices, which we will announce after June 16, 2020.
