Closing weekend Plovdiv 2019: Exhibition of graphics from the Fund of the Municipality of Plovdiv

On January 28, 2020, from 6.00 pm at the Kapana Gallery, the City Art Gallery and the Municipality of Plovdiv, through their Department of Culture, Archeology and Cultural Heritage, will present the exhibition "Selected by the Plovdiv Municipality Fund. Graphics".
Art lovers will see a selection of 116 graphic works and drawings acquired by the Municipality over the last 30 years. The selection for the current exhibition is by art critic Krasimir Linkov - director of the gallery. Among the featured authors are Yoan Leviev, Dimitar Kirov, Kolyo Karamfilov, Hristo Stoychev, Marin Topalov, Vladimir Gennadiev, Valery Chakalov, Rumen Zhekov, Margarita Dzharova, Biser Damyanov, Ivan Ninov, Emil Mirazchiev, Monika Romenska, Igor Budchnikova, Igor Budchinka Pevicharov, Itsko Maznev, Zahari Kamenov, Maria Dukhteva, Lyubomir Samardzhiev, Iliya Kochovski, Dimo Kolibarov, Valentin Uzunov, Gencho Nakev, Dimitar Grozdanov, Vladimir Chukich, Nedko Itinov, Bogdan Varbanov, Kolyo Mishev, Rumen, Rumen Mishev, Rumen Dimitar Kelbache Stefan Lyutakov, Yanko Nenov, Kaloyan Iliev - Kokimoto Peter Kochevska Dimitar Shopov and Dimitar Vodenitcharov, Krassimir Dobrev, Julian Jordanov Veneta Marinova and other renowned authors. Works by foreign authors who have events in Plovdiv are also included.
The collection gives an opportunity to see various classic and non-traditional printing techniques - from intaglio printing through lithography, etching, serigraphy and offset, chosen by the authors to express their creative intent.
The new graphic exhibition continues the presentation of works by the Municipal Fund, which began on July 15, 2019. At that time the newly created Kapana Gallery was officially opened with a large painting exhibition featuring over 250 works. The Plovdiv Municipality later donated 28 of the paintings to the City Art Gallery to enrich its Painting Fund.
The exhibit will be open until March 10, 2020.
