From 4 March 2020, the exhibition "Timeless Bulgarian Theater Posters" will be presented in the Art Lounge of National Library "Ivan Vazov" - Plovdiv, floor 2.

The exhibition recalls the unforgettable productions of our theaters in the 1970s and 1980s of the National Theater and of students and community centers. All the posters are posessed bt the library. On the one hand, the posters are invaluable evidence of the culture of the time, and on the other, wonderful examples of aesthetics of the time. The exhibition is a manifestation of the double life of the poster - one on the street with an information mission and the other in the exhibition halls as works of art. In this way, borders are blurred, disintegrated and the specific dimensions are lost, revealing new positions in time and space. That is the purpose of the exhibition.

"Timeless Bulgarian Theater Posters" will be available until 15 March 2020.
