On June 13, 2020, Georgi Bozhilov - Slona would have turned 85 years old. His paintings are exhibited in almost all European capitals, collectors from several continents own his works.

Back in 1967, Atanas Krastev (Nacho Culture) organized the first solo exhibition of Georgi Bozhilov and this marked the beginning of the National Autumn Exhibitions, which continues and today. In the 1970s, Georgi Bozhilov's abstractions were removed from exhibitions such as "deformations" and "deviations from social realism." In the early 1990s, a French millionaire bought his entire exhibition in a gallery in Sofia.

In his work he uses a variety of techniques and resources, works in the field of easel painting, portraiture, landscape, figural and abstract compositions, murals, mosaics, sgraffito.

Ancient Plovdiv Municipal Institute as a guardian of cultural and historical heritage, part of which is the diverse work of Georgi Bozhilov, initiated another virtual exhibition "In memory of Georgi Bozhilov - Slona", which is available on the Facebook page and Instagram - Plovdiv Old Town /official/.
