The Black Box: Dutch choreographers bring a series of photographs to life in a live photo album

The program of the 14th International Festival for Theater and Contemporary Dance "Black Box" 2020 continues with an interesting performance from the Netherlands.
From 2007 until today, the festival presents innovative theater productions and dance performances from around the world. Due to the emergency situation, this year's edition is held on a rotating basis until the end of the year. The audience will see performances from Bulgaria, Greece, Spain, Italy, Romania, USA, Hungary and the Netherlands.
The organizer is the Black Box Foundation. The official partners are the Municipality of Plovdiv and the Ministry of Culture. The active co-organizers of the event are the foreign embassies and cultural institutes in Bulgaria.
The festival is realized with the financial support of the Municipality of Plovdiv and is part of the Cultural Calendar of the city for 2020.

The next performance "Shoot To Still" of aNorange Collective - The Netherlands is on July 9 /Thursday/, from 19:00 h. (7 pm) on the stage of the State Puppet Theater in Plovdiv.

aNorange Collective is the artistic collaboration between dancers/choreographers Iris Boer (NL) and Sebastian Pickering (DK/CAN). Taking inspiration from the world of photography, their current choreographic approach is based on using still images within stage performance and movement creation. The two performers of aNorange, who equally share the responsibility of creating/choreographing, find a common ground in a love-hate relationship to the concept of "dancing" - the struggle of wanting to move and make physically impressive dance pieces, while maintaining a strong conceptual and intellectual base.
„Shoot To Still“ - Picture of a woman and a man at the dinner table. A moment sealed in time, where everything but the frame itself is left to the imagination. Through the play of time, speed, repetition and change of details, aNorange collective brings to life a series of photographs, creating a live photo album aimed at challenging the personal imagination and associations of the audience.
