PROGRESSIVE YOUTH ORCHESTRA AND ENSEMBLES
GALA CONCERT AT THE ROMAN STADIUM IN PLOVDIV

On October 4, 2020 at the open-air stage of the Roman Stadium in Plovdiv at 5.30 pm will be the gala concert in which young musical talents will share the stage with prominent musicians!

The famous violinist Zornitsa Ilarionova, a laureate of several national and international competitions, will be on the stage as a soloist, together with the promising young violinists Eva Doncheva and Kay Orlinov. The musicians from the Sofia Soloists Chamber Ensemble led by the conductor Prof. Plamen Dzhurov are joining the young members of the orchestra. The programme includes music by Vivaldi, Haydn, and Sarasate. 

The performances by the guitar ensemble CHITARRA CAMERATA led by Milena Maneva - Valcheva will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Dobrin Petkov National School of Music and Dance.

True to its idea to initiate and develop original events, the project "PROGRESSIVE Youth Orchestra and Ensembles" presents a newly created youth vocal ensemble, which will perform authentic Bulgarian folklore.

The project builds on the YOUTH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA "PROGRESSIVE" pilot editions, which have turned the gala concerts at the Roman Stadium into a real musical event for two consecutive years as part of the official programme of Plovdiv 2019.

PROGRESSIVE Youth Orchestra and Ensembles is a project by the MusicArtissimo Foundation for Culture and Art. The project is part of the Legacy programme of Plovdiv 2019.
