The sixth festival for street arts 6Fest will present a special thematic edition - for the first time in our country the festival program will include only street fire performances of theater and fire groups from Bulgaria, most of which will be premieres. 6Fest will be held from 28 to 31 October 2020 in Plovdiv with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and Partnership of the Municipality of Plovdiv. Admission will be free.

Among the highlights of the program will be the premiere performance of Theater of Fire and Shadows "Fireter" "Legend of Night and Day - Balis and Eyrene", which will be played for the first time at 6Fest at one of the landmarks in Plovdiv - Roman Stadium. The premiere for Plovdiv will be the new performance of Mime Formation "Fire Theater" - "Metamorphoses", based on excerpts from the poem by Ovid.

Traveling Theater "Skrin" will be a guest with his play "Megale Thea" - the first in a series of "Wise Fire", which is based on Thracian mythology from the Graovo region.

At 6Fest we expect two local formations from Plovdiv - the circus-musical "Combino Project" with a one-man show by the artist Dario Bulgario and the Firestep Formation with the performance "Samodiva", again premiered for the festival.

To support the development of this type of art, 6Fest invites in its program two youth fire groups - "Phoenix" from Kozloduy and "Black Fire" from Gabrovo. The performance of "Phoenix" "Roots" is based on Bulgarian folklore and myths about the Hero. "Black Fire" will be a guest at 6Fest with its premiere performance "Four Elements".

6Fest has also invited the art group "Palyachi" (Varna), which specializes in fire and light art on cultural and historical themes.

The 6Fest Street Arts Festival was established in 2017. Last year it was selected in the official program of Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture, and on July 25, 2020 6Fest made a dance and music edition as part of the cultural calendar of Plovdiv Municipality. The founder of 6Fest Momchil Tsonev was named one of the 10 "Most Outstanding Young People in Bulgaria" for 2019 by the International Youth Chamber, and in September he was nominated in the campaign "Awakener of the Year 2020".

The first in our country festival for street fire performances and the sixth edition of the festival for street arts 6Fest will be held with six performances in the program. Unfortunately, two of the performances originally planned were canceled due to lack of sufficient financial resources for their realization. We tried to raise additional funds through a donation campaign at HelpKarma Fundraising, but it has not yet raised the necessary funding. Donations will be transferred to the artists, who have a partial reduction in their salaries. None of the artists and bands in 6Fest will perform for free, because the festival has always taken care of its artists.
