In October FLUCA - Austrian Cultural Pavilion will present HALLO - the debut exhibition of the young Austrian artist in Bulgaria Gert Resinger. The exhibition will take place October 6 - October 29, 2020 in Plovdiv and will mark the end of the fifth summer season of FLUCA, in which the open stage for art and culture creates a dialogue between contemporary art and the city.
Gert Resinger's work seems to surf in hedonistic lightness between the crest of the waves of the drawing, the painting, design, graphics, spatial installations, performance, music, video, photography, collage, embroidery and textile printing. It often happens that a work arises from mixing the remains of other works and thus becomes an endless process. His ideas and concepts also manifest themselves cyclically in other forms over and over again.
For Gert Resinger, humor, the tragicomic and the immeasurable are an urge to create things and to express himself. He is inspired by social processes, literature, pop culture, technology and psychology.
Gert Resinger presents to the Bulgarian audience the specially made for FLUCA textile installation "The head", 2020 as well as his new works - the sculpture "Ciao", 2020 and the design object "The Nervous Chair", 2020.
The exhibition HALLO by FLUCA - Austrian Cultural Pavilion in Plovdiv is an opportunity for people to have physical contact with Gert`s works and through their use to become part of the art.

Gert Resinger is artist and designer. He was born in 1984 in Vienna, finished art school and university of applied arts. Studied painting at the University of applied arts in Vienna under prof. Johanna Kandl and Thomas Zipp.
Since 2014 I run the project Dessous with his partner, the artist Anny Wass. Initiated as an exhibition format, the idea has meanwhile evolved as a spatial project. Dessous stands for a base to strengthen relations between national as well as international creative people to promote interdisciplinary discourse and cultural exchange.
Gert held several exhibitions in Austria, Hungary, Germany and USA.
