On November 6 one of the most important and influential jazz musicians in Bulgaria - Hristo Yotsov, will celebrate his 60th birthday as part of Plovdiv Jazz Fest. The drummer, composer and teacher of percussion instruments at the "Pancho Vladigerov" Music Academy will be one of the three participants in the special project of the festival.

Together with the pianist, composer, teacher and conductor of the Bulgarian National Radio Big Band - Antoni Donchev, Hristo Yotsov founded one of the best Bulgarian jazz ensembles "Acoustic Version", which this year celebrates 35 years. The group was awarded many times. In 1988 the double bassist Georgi Donchev joined the duo. After his departure for the United States, for some time, Peter Slavov Jr. became part of it. In the 90's his father - the great Bulgarian drummer Peter Slavov, was the manager of "Acoustic Version". In 1993 Hristo Yotsov and Antoni Donchev created the first private recording studio in Bulgaria, which bears the same name.

Donchev and Yotsov are a vivid example of contemporary musicians who easily and skillfully deal with diverse forms of music making and who can easily combine the diversity of jazz style.

Just before the "Acoustic Version", a concert will be given by pianist and composer Milen Kukosharov with his latest project Wind Harmonium.
