Solemn celebration on occasion of 3th March - 143rd anniversary of the Liberation and National Holiday of the Republic of Bulgaria

With a prayer in the cathedral church "Holy Mother of God", served by His Excellency Plovdiv Metropolitan Nikolay, a solemn celebration in front of the monument of the Russian liberators of Bunardzhik hill, a memorial service for the heroes of the monument of the revolutionaries in the Central Cemetery, Plovdiv will mark the 143rd anniversary of the Liberation from Ottoman rule and National Holiday of Bulgaria - 3rd of March. The official speech will be presented by Zdravko Dimitrov - Mayor of Plovdiv.

The wreath-laying ceremony will be attended by a representative platoon, military brass band, members of the Patriotic Committee, who before the celebration will lead again the citizens to the "March of Freedom" - a procession to the top of Bunardzhik, led by copies of the flags of the Bulgarian revolutionaries. In the evening on Central Square a fire-check on the occasion of the National Holiday of the Republic of Bulgaria - March 3, wll be carried out with the participation of military formations from the Plovdiv garrison. The official speech will be presented by Major General Yavor Mateev - Commander of the "Joint Special Operations Command" of the Bulgarian Army. The announcer will be the actor from the Plovdiv Drama Theater - Simeon Aleksiev.
