Solemn Celebration of 3rd March – 148 Years Since Liberation and National Holiday of the Republic of Bulgaria

Program:
11:00 a.m. – Prayer service at the Cathedral “Assumption of the Virgin” (6 Saborna Street, Old Town) led by His Eminence Plovdiv Metropolitan Nikolay.
11:00 a.m. – Assembly for the “March of Freedom” – a procession to the top of Bunardzhik, led by replicas of the Bulgarian Volunteer Corps flags, meeting point: Restaurant “Yuzhen Polyah” (Small Bunardzhik).
12:00 p.m. – Solemn ceremony and wreath-laying at the Monument of the Russian Liberators on Bunardzhik.
1:30 p.m. – Memorial service for the fallen heroes at the Monument of the Fighters and Volunteers, Central Cemetery.
5:00 p.m. – Festive concert by the Military Brass Band of the Joint Special Operations Command, Central Square, conducted by Senior Lieutenant Ventsislav Stefanov.
6:30 p.m. – Ceremonial inspection and fireworks at Central Square, with participation of military units from the Plovdiv garrison. Announcer: Petar Toskov.
