Plovdiv participates in the virtual format of the tourist exhibition #ITBBerlin2021

The Municipality of Plovdiv participates in the virtual format of the tourist exhibition # ITBBerlin2021, the various opportunities for tourism are presented. This year, due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the exhibition was held online from 9 to 12 March 2021.
Together with the Ministry of Tourism of Bulgaria, more than 70 participants from Bulgaria, including the municipalities of Plovdiv, Varna, Stara Zagora, Silistra, Ruse, Bansko, Primorsko, Sofia and others, as well as many resorts, hotels and tourist companies.
During the exhibition, visitors received detailed information about the cultural and historical heritage of Plovdiv and the possibilities for combining with specialized forms of tourism - wine, gourmet and others. A new tourist map of Plovdiv was presented, which is unique for the country, with marked main roads, some of the most important tourist and cultural sites of the city, accommodation, restaurants and entertainment, natural attractions, public transport stops and bus numbers and others.
In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, the leading trade fair was held entirely virtually under the title: ITB Berlin NOW - "The digital Meet-up for the Travel Industry". This virtual event format is focused at the B2B community, which includes exhibitors, trade visitors and buyers from every segment of the tourism industry, as well as journalists and travel bloggers.
During the live event, all participants can use the many services, including contact with participants, exhibitor profiles, conference content and news. After the event, registered users can continue to visit the platform until May 31, 2021. During this period, the entire range of content will remain available upon request. As in previous years, the ITB Berlin Convention will be held as a parallel virtual event and will invite high-level experts to discuss the latest insights in the tourism industry.
